Plaque Awarding Ceremony Held Grandly
On the afternoon of October 30, 2024, the plaque awarding ceremony for the "Youth Legal Education Base" by the Working Committee for the Care of the Next Generation was held at Beijing Huatai (Shijiazhuang) Law Firm. Huatai (Shijiazhuang) Law Firm is the first unit in the lawyer industry in Chang'an District, Shijiazhuang City, to be awarded by the Working Committee, fully reflecting the leadership's high attention and trust in Huatai Law Firm.
Leaders attending the plaque awarding ceremony from the district Working Committee and the Bureau of Veteran Cadres included: Li Shikui, Director of the Chang'an District Working Committee and former Chairman of the District CPPCC; Fan Jucai, Executive Deputy Director of the Working Committee and former Deputy Director of the District People's Congress; Shi Min, Deputy Director of the Working Committee and former Deputy Chairman of the District CPPCC; He Guifu, Deputy Director of the Working Committee and former Deputy Director of the District People's Congress; Qiao Yong, Deputy Director of the Working Committee and former Deputy Director of the District People's Congress; Li Hu, Deputy Minister of the District Party Committee Organization Department and Director of the District Bureau of Veteran Cadres, as well as other relevant leaders. Lawyer Zhang Xijun, Director and Party Branch Secretary of Beijing Huatai (Shijiazhuang) Law Firm, delivered a welcome speech. Senior Partner and Deputy Director Han Song presided over the ceremony. Senior Partners and Deputy Directors Hao Xuehui and Sun Lili, along with outstanding lawyer representatives Ma Long, Qian Lingyan, Zhang Yutong, Liang Huazhi, and some intern lawyers attended the ceremony.
Chairman Li Shikui of the Working Committee delivered an important speech at the meeting. He pointed out that Beijing Huatai (Shijiazhuang) Law Firm is the first law firm in the city's legal industry to be awarded the "Youth Legal Education Base" by the Working Committee, playing a model and leading role. It should act as a "leader" and actively contribute to the promotion of legal education for youth, safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of the majority of young people and children according to law.
Lawyer Zhang Xijun, Director of the firm, reported to the attending leaders on the firm's youth legal education work. Lawyer Zhang pointed out that the firm delivers legal knowledge to campuses through strategic cooperation agreements, assigning experienced public welfare lawyers to conduct legal education for students, improving the legal literacy and awareness of students and teachers. Moreover, several senior lawyers from the firm have deeply engaged in communities, kindergartens, and other institutions to carry out legal education for youth and children, achieving good social effects.
After the plaque awarding ceremony, everyone held a discussion focused on the theme of legally protecting the legitimate rights and interests of youth and children. Leaders from the Working Committee and the Bureau of Veteran Cadres had cordial talks with the lawyers, carefully listening to their opinions and suggestions. Everyone spoke freely, and the atmosphere was warm and lively. After the discussion, a group photo was taken, marking the successful conclusion of the plaque awarding ceremony.
