On March 28, 2024, Ni Dongxin, Party Secretary and Director of the Chaoyang District Justice Bureau in Beijing; Di Jing, Deputy Director of the District Justice Bureau and Secretary of the District Lawyers' Industry Party Committee; and Liu Suhong, Secretary-General of the District Lawyers Association, visited Huatai Law Firm in Beijing to conduct research and provide guidance. Attending the meeting were Zhao Zemin, Chief Partner and Director of Huatai Law Firm; Yan Shuqing, Secretary of the Huatai General Party Branch; Wang Yusheng, Deputy Director of the firm; Chang Xiaoyi, Co-Chair of the Branch Office Joint Conference; Sa Rina, Deputy Director of the Management Committee; Huo Mingliang, Business Director; Liu Jianguo, Deputy Secretary of the Huatai General Party Branch; senior partners Zhang Zufeng, Feng Xiaomi, Deng Pei, and Wang Pei; Zhang Xin, Chairman of the Trade Union; Xia Xue, representative from the Beijing-based branch office; and several young lawyers who joined the discussion. Zhao Zemin, Director of Beijing Huatai Law Firm, along with firm staff, accompanied a delegation led by officials from the Chaoyang District Justice Bureau on a visit to the firm’s office premises, including the Party-building activity room and other areas.
At the symposium, Director Zhao Zemin of Huatai Law Firm warmly welcomed Director Ni Dongxin and his delegation on behalf of the entire firm. Director Zhao shared Huatai's development journey, highlighting aspects such as the firm's growth and its expanding scope of practice, and expressed gratitude to the leaders of the Bureau of Justice for their continuous strong support and keen interest in Huatai's advancement over the years.
Yan Shuqing, Secretary of the Huatai Party Branch, reported to the delegation from the Bureau of Justice on the firm's Party-building initiatives. Secretary Yan emphasized that, under the leadership and support of the Lawyers' Industry Party Committee, Huatai has consistently adhered to the development philosophy of "using Party building to strengthen institutional development, while institutional growth complements and enhances Party building." The firm has actively engaged in public-interest legal services through various channels, including providing village-level legal assistance, participating in labor dispute mediation organized by the Beijing Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, delivering legal aid services, and organizing a program where 10,000 Party members partner with community residents. Looking ahead, the Huatai Party Branch will continue to reinforce theoretical study of Party principles and organizational development, bolstering the firm's internal cohesion and further leveraging the exemplary role of its Party members. Hua Tai Management Committee Deputy Director Sarina stated that she will better collaborate with the Bar Association's work and serve the legal community through her role in the association. Hua Tai Law Firm Deputy Director Wang Yusheng stated that strong cohesion and stable development are the hallmarks of Hua Tai Law Firm. Hua Tai National Branch Joint Conference Executive Chairman Chang Xiaoyi stated that in the future, they will strengthen supervision and management of Hua Tai's branch offices across the country as they continue advancing the development of these branches nationwide. Huo Mingliang, Business Director of Huatai Law Firm, reported work to the bureau leaders regarding business matters. Attorney Huo outlined four key directions for Huatai's business development: 1. Upholding Party building as the guiding principle; 2. Leveraging the rule of law to empower corporate growth, developing specialized products such as criminal compliance and enterprise compliance solutions to help optimize the business environment; 3. Establishing professional committees to provide guidance not only to our firm but also to all of our nationwide branches, thereby strengthening the Huatai brand; 4. After listening to the report, the delegation from the District Justice Bureau fully praised Huatai Law Firm's various initiatives and provided constructive guidance. Liu Suhong, Secretary-General of the District Lawyers Association, noted that, from the perspective of industry discipline, Huatai Law Firm demonstrates highly standardized management practices. She advised the firm to continue strengthening its implementation of ideological work, establish comprehensive personnel and operational records, and promptly report any major or sensitive cases encountered during practice to both the Lawyers Association and the Justice Bureau—ensuring that clients are guided to resolve disputes through compliant and lawful channels. Dì Jìng, Party Secretary of the District Lawyers’ Industry Committee and Deputy Director of the District Justice Bureau, summarized Huatai Law Firm’s development as “stability first, steady progress toward long-term success.” Director Dì emphasized that the firm must further strengthen its Party-building work under a standardized management system, cultivate distinctive Party-building brands, and uphold the principle of prioritizing public welfare, all while delivering high-quality legal services to the public. Ni Dongxin, Party Secretary and Director of the District Justice Bureau, delivered the closing remarks. Evaluating Huatai Law Firm's 30 years of development, Director Ni remarked, "With unified hearts, strong momentum, and steady growth." He emphasized that lawyers are a vital component in building the socialist rule of law, and thus it is essential to uphold Party leadership and prioritize political principles. Lastly, he highlighted the need to remain committed to serving the public, actively supporting and safeguarding pro bono legal services, which underscores lawyers' inherent dedication to social welfare.
