On the morning of April 18, the strategic cooperation signing ceremony and donation event between Beijing Huatai Law Firm and Southwest University of Political Science and Law were held in the First Conference Room of the Qinye Building at Southwest University of Political Science and Law. Lin Wei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Southwest University of Political Science and Law, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Zhao Zemin, Director, and Zhou Shangjun, Vice President of Southwest University of Political Science and Law, signed the cooperation framework agreement, while Sa Rina, Deputy Director, and Li Xue, Director of the Office for Domestic Cooperation and Deputy Secretary-General of the Education Foundation at Southwest University of Political Science and Law, inked the donation agreement.

 

The meeting was chaired by Li Xue. Attendees included Tan Zheng, Director of the Personnel Office at Southwest University of Political Science and Law; Li Chuanxian, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office; Chang Ye, Deputy Director of the Research Office; Qiu Ling, Head of the Sanya Branch (under preparation) of Beijing Huatai Law Firm; Zhang Renfu, Director of the Chongqing Branch; and Jiang Yang, representative from Guangzhou Hongling Investment Co., Ltd., the collaborating partner of the Sanya Branch.

At the meeting, Lin Wei, President of Southwest University of Political Science and Law, expressed high appreciation for Huatai Law Firm's outstanding achievements in areas such as criminal law, civil and commercial matters, and intellectual property. He noted that the firm's commitment to rooting itself firmly in China's rule-of-law practice while boldly embracing innovation deeply resonates with Southwest University of Political Science and Law's educational tradition of "integrating knowledge with practice and applying learning to real-world challenges." As one of the universities in China offering the most comprehensive range of legal disciplines, Southwest University of Political Science and Law has consistently nurtured a steady stream of high-quality legal professionals who have significantly contributed to China's rule-of-law development. President Lin expressed his hope that, through this collaborative opportunity, both parties could seamlessly combine the university's strengths in academics, talent cultivation, and research with the firm's expertise in specialization, practical experience, and resource mobilization. Together, they can accelerate the establishment of internship bases and deepen their cooperative efforts through joint research institutes, fostering mutual growth and achieving win-win outcomes in areas such as talent development, scientific research, resource sharing, and career support.
